Öz
Günümüzde tüketici davranışları ve iş dünyası her geçen gün karmaşık hale gelmektedir. Bu karmaşıklığa bir açıklama getirebilmek, pazarlama çabalarını daha etkin kılmak ve daha hızlı ve doğru kararlar verebilmek için pazarlamanın bir teoriye ihtiyacı vardır. Teori bir fenomeni açıklarken aynı zamanda öngörü yeteneğine sahip sistemli yapılar aracılığıyla bilimsel anlayışı geliştirmektedir. Pazarlama teorisinin açıklanması ve formüle edilmesi pazarlama faaliyetlerinde ortaya çıkan sorunlara çok daha etkili olarak çözümler ortaya koymamızı sağlayacak ve bu sorunlara ilişkin temel nedenleri ortaya çıkarmamıza yardımcı olacaktır. Bu çalışmanın amacı pazarlama teorisi alanında tartışılan konuların ortaya çıkarılması ve pazarlama teorisine farklı bakış açıları kazandırmaya çalışan yaklaşımların incelenmesi ile pazarlama teorisi alanındaki temel görüşlerin ortaya çıkarılarak, bu görüşlere ilişkin temel argümanların özetlenmesidir.
